Privacy policy

Data collected: none
Riff has no server, no account and no analytics. Your events pass between Apple’s calendar database and your screen. Riff adds no stop of its own. Not collecting data isn’t a policy. There is nowhere for it to go.
There is nothing to retain and nothing to delete. Riff never had a copy to begin with. Riff includes no third-party code for analytics, crash reporting or advertising. If any of this ever changes, this page changes with it.
Your calendar
Riff reads and writes your events through Apple’s calendar database on your device. Nothing is copied out of it. What syncs between your devices is carried by your calendar accounts, not by Riff.
Your location
Riff sends a location only to Apple Weather, to get the forecast. That is where you are, or the place pinned to an event, rounded to about a kilometre. Apple does not link it to you. Riff asks for your approximate location only if you turn on Weather or Daylight. Daylight works out sunrise and sunset on your iPhone.
A place you type into an event goes to Apple Maps to find matching places.
Purchases
Purchases are handled by Apple. Riff sees whether a purchase stands, never who you are, and no payment detail ever reaches it. The free trial is a clock kept on your device, and nothing about it is sent anywhere. Apple’s handling is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.
Crash reports
If your device is set to share crash data with developers, Apple sends anonymous crash reports. That setting is yours, under Privacy & Security in iOS Settings.
